Meet the Restorative Health Team

Restorative Health’s small team of dedicated professionals provides depression treatment, mental health therapy, substance abuse treatment, and psychiatric medication management tailored to meet your particular needs.

Angela Haley, LCPC - Therapist

Angela Haley is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations, a minor in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
 
She is a cognitive-behavior therapist with expertise in the treatment of grief and loss, trauma, crisis stabilization and family systems and works with adults, children and families.  During her time outside of work, Angela enjoys watching her kids learn and grow, doing anything crafty and spending time with friends. 

Brandy Gebo, LCSW - Therapist

A licensed Clinical Social Worker, Brandy has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. She offers individualized, client-directed, treatment. Brandy also provides relaxed, caring, and non-judgmental support as strengths are identified, obstacles overcome, and goals are met. She employs evidenced-based treatment modalities, according to individual needs, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy and Motivational Interviewing. 
 
Brandy has five years of practice as a mental health therapist in various settings including outpatient therapy, school based therapy, and a youth recovery program. Additional experience includes medical social work in a home health program and, as a graduate student, on the unique age-related issues of older adults in Maine. 
 
She earned a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Maine School of Social Work in 2011. As an undergraduate Brandy earned BA in History from the University of Maine at Machias in 2005. 
 
During her free time she enjoys getting out into nature on a hiking or biking trail. She especially enjoys summer when she can spend time with family on one of Maine's wonderful lakes. Brandy also spends time doing genealogy, reading, and listening to audio books. 

Brent Scobie, Ph.D., LCSW - Clinical Director

Dr. Scobie earned his PhD in Disability Studies from the University of Maine. His dissertation research examined the impact of communication technology use on relationship development among adults receiving individual psychotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Scobie has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1999 and Board Certified Clinical Supervisor since 2003, so he brings a wealth of practice experience to Restorative Health.
 
Dr. Scobie is formally trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Critical Incident Stress Management, Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and has presented on many of these areas at state and national conferences and within academic institutions in Maine. Additionally, in his role as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine he teaches graduate-level courses in adult and child psychopathology and substance use disorders.
 
His specialty areas include applications of CBT for the treatment of chronic pain syndromes, evaluating and treating adolescent addiction disorders, and the applied use of both communication technology and clinical outcome measures. Dr. Scobie and his wife Carrie keep busy supporting their three children in their athletic interests which include field hockey, soccer, ice hockey and golf. In his free time he enjoys fly fishing during the warmer months and fly tying during the snowy season.

Brittany Davis, LCSW - Therapist

Brittany Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Maine and Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England. She has clinical experience working with children, families and adults both in their homes and outpatient settings.  She has experience providing clinical consultation in medical and adult inpatient psychiatric settings.
 
Brittany specializes in working with adults suffering from depression, anxiety and trauma utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused and expressive arts therapy, and strives to provide a compassionate, relaxed and nonjudgmental environment to support those with whom she works.  Outside of work Brittany enjoys spending downtime with her loved ones, gardening, baking and music of all sorts. Born and raised in the state of Maine, she appreciates its unique charm all year round.

Denise Nickerson, LCSW - Therapist

Denise Nickerson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Tulane University. She brings a wealth of experience to Restorative Health with 16 years of practice experience providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to adolescents and adults diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorders as well as specialties in the treatment of both unipolar and bipolar mood disorders.
 
Outside of her professional role she loves Zumba, spending time at camp and is actively involved at the committee level within her son's school system and scouting.

Heather Reid, LCSW - Therapist

Heather Reid is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Maine and Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maine. She has over 10 years of experience working with children, families and adults both in their homes, outpatient, and inpatient settings.
 
Heather has practice experience working with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, chronic pain, medical illness, grief, substance abuse, and trauma utilizing evidence-based treatment models including: Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She strives to provide a strengths-based, client-centered, and nonjudgmental environment to support those with whom she works. Outside of work Heather enjoys spending time with her family and pet schnoodle, any outdoors activities, music, and reading.

Joye Jewell-Hill, PMH-NP – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Joye Jewell-Hill, PMH-NP, is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree in 1982. She also attended Husson College in Bangor, Maine, where she earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1999, and her Post Graduate Degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Pracitioner in 2013. She is dually certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Joye has experience in providing mental health services, including medication management, to both adolescents and adults.

Joye engages in a variety of activities on her days off including spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening, quilting, hiking and biking in the great Maine outdoors

Lynette Roy, LCSW - Therapist

Lynette Roy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Maine School of Social Work in 2011. She has been working as a child and adolescent outpatient therapist for the past six years in Acadia Hospital's Pediatric Outpatient Services.  

Lynette is experienced working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families who are dealing with peer issues, substance use disorders, self-esteem issues, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety and self-harm. She relies on several evidence-based treatment models to inform her work including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Additionally, Lynette is also a certified Reiki II practitioner.

Michaele Potvin, LCSW

Michaele Potvin, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the state of Maine. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maine Farmington and her Master of Social Work at the University of Southern Maine. She has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in multiple settings. Michaele helps families and individuals who are experiencing stress due to divorce, separation, problematic behaviors of childhood, anxiety, and anger management issues. Michaele enjoys learning about neuroscience and finding ways to apply this knowledge to her diverse therapeutic background. Michaele has been trained in therapeutic interventions such as high conflict separated families, solution focused therapy, CBT, DBT and ACT. 

Rick Redmond, LCSW – Therapist

Rick is a graduate of Boston University and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1993. He is trained in a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and has provided and overseen mental health care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Rick is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, substance abuse, and crisis situations. He offers evening and early morning appointments for his clients.

When not providing therapy services at Restorative Health, Rick serves as Director of Business Development at Acadia Hospital, which involves developing and implementing new behavioral health services that meet the changing needs of people in Maine communities. Away from work, Rick enjoys spending time with his family, reading, sports, and he’s an aquarium enthusiast!

Shyla Yerxa, LCSW - Therapist

Shyla Yerxa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Master's Degree from the University of Maine School of Social Work and has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of adults suffering from mood, trauma, anxiety, substance use disorders and those who are victims of domestic violence. She is trained in cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and as a domestic violence prevention advocate.
 
In addition to her therapy practice, her work history includes developing and managing evidence-based projects and programs designed to reduce high risk and underage drinking among Maine youth. As a skilled advocate for her clients, Shyla strongly believes in working collaboratively with primary care and community providers to improve overall health and functioning.

Suzie Darling, LCSW - Therapist

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Suzie Darling, LCSW, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Husson University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maine, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maine.

She has practice experience working in both outpatient and intensive outpatient substance abuse and mental health programs and expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction, borderline personality and trauma disorders. She relies on several evidence-based treatment models to inform her work including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
When she isn’t working, Suzie enjoys spending time with her Toy Fox Terrier, Cooper; kayaking, hiking, and exploring the Downeast Coast.
